PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) combines safe, affordable housing with wraparound services like case management, mental health support, and life skills training.
Unlike standard affordable housing, PSH is designed for individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness or face complex challenges. It’s not just about a place to live — it’s about long-term stability, healing, and hope.
Individuals must go through the following process to obtain Permanent Supportive Housing:
· You must meet HUD’s definition of Category 1 homeless, meaning you are sleeping outside, in a shelter, or in a place not meant for people to live, like a car or an abandoned building.
· You must be assessed prior to being referred to permanent supportive housing.
