Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation. We honor the lives lost, the heroes who responded with courage, and the resilience that brought us together in the face of tragedy.
Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we reflect on the strength of our communities and continue to support one another in unity and compassion. #ittakesacommunity #communitypartners #neverforget

We want to welcome Danette Romines to our ECHO Housing & Community Development team!
Danette Romines is joining us with an extensive background in homeless services, housing programs, and regional leadership. From meeting individuals under bridges to running a low-barrier shelter for families, she has worked within the walls of local agencies such as Aurora, Ozanam, YWCA, House of Bread and Peace, United Caring Services, and ECHO Health Care. Over the years, Danette has facilitated collaborative efforts with the regional Coordinated Entry System, the Homeless Service Council, and the annual Point-In-Time Count to name a few.
In the 1980’s, ECHO Housing, ECHO Health Care, and Aurora were all one agency, identifying as E.C.H.O. (Evansville Coalition of Homeless Organizations). Danette is not only excited to be fully utilizing her talents and experiences as part of our homeless services programming, but she also feels that she gets to be a thread that ties together a little piece of Evansville History.
